Chambers Teams - Family

India Buildings Chambers have for many years been recognised as having a well established, experienced and highly regarded Family Law team.

The Team presently comprises of twenty-three practitioners who between them offer a specialist service in all areas of Family Law.

The challenges, demands and sensitivity of this work are met by experienced practitioners who at all times strive to serve the best interests of their clients whilst delivering clear and responsible advice.

In Public Law proceedings (and related adoption proceedings) we have team members who have extensive knowledge and experience in acting for a wide range of Local Authorities, parents, other adult family members (whether appearing by themselves or through the Official Solicitor) and children (whether able to give instructions themselves or appearing through a CAFCASS Guardian).

Likewise in Private Law proceedings a similar specialist service is provided in all aspects of separation or divorce, for both married and co-habiting couples, in particular disputes relating to children, property and finances, domestic violence and occupation rights.

All of our team are members of the Family Law Bar Association with active participation in national and regional events. Chambers has always been represented on the regional FLBA Committee.

India Buildings Chambers is fully accredited by the Law Society and the Bar Council to give lectures and other training sessions qualifying for Continuing Professional Development points for both professions. Seminars and lectures for both local authorities and family practitioners are arranged.
