Mr Flood has practised in the area of employment law for 15 years.

He has represented both Claimant’s and Respondents in the Employment Tribunal, The Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

He has particular experience in cases involving:-

  1. Unfair dismissal.
    He has represented Claimants and Respondents in cases involving constructive/unfair dismissal, conduct, capability and redundancy dismissals, questions of contribution/Polkey/ and mitigation of loss.
  2. Disability Discrimination.
    He has represented both Claimant’s and Respondents in cases involving disabilities arising out of psychological and physical injuries He has particular experience in acting for Respondents in cases of disability arising out of "stress".
  3. Sex Discrimination.
    He has represented Respondents in cases involving indirect discrimination arising out of the change in working patterns and direct discrimination in relation to the pregnancy of the Claimant.

He also has experience of cases relating to TUPE, Race Discrimination, and issues relating to working hours and minimum wage.

He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
