David Polglase is a common law practitioner with a mixed criminal and civil practice.

Civil

David Polglase advises and appears for Claimants and Defendants in personal injury litigation. He accepts CFA cases.

David Polglase has extensive experience of road traffic accident litigation, including areas such as credit hire and the MIB, having worked "in-house" for a leading North West firm of solicitors before entering private practice.

His other areas of personal injury work include accidents at work, occupier’s liability claims, trips and slips on the highway and holiday claims.

He is also regularly represents Claimants and Defendants in both an advisory capacity and as an advocate in police civil actions, including claims for assault, false imprisonment and malicious prosecution. He therefore also has knowledge of related human rights issues, and has dealt with cases involving police property, football disorder and antisocial behaviour.

He has experience of the Coroner’s Court, including jury cases arising out of deaths in prison.
