David practices exclusively in Criminal Law and has been instructed on behalf of the Prosecution and Defence at all levels undertaking cases involving allegations of Serious violence (including Murder/Manslaughter), serious Sexual abuse allegations and significant drug trafficking and importation.

David practised at the Bar in London for seven years before moving to Liverpool in 1997. In the past 12 months he has been instructed in cases which have included the following:

Child Rape – Court of Appeal involving the consideration of fresh evidence – Defence.

Proceeds of Crime – Court of Appeal – Prosecution appeal pursuant to Section 31 POCA – approx £1 million assets – Prosecution.

Rape of two 15 year old complainants – Defence.

Child Prostitution / Sexual abuse – three complainants – Prosecution.

David has lectured on the following topics. Disclosure, Sexual Offences under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, Imprisonment for Public Protection, Youth sentencing in the Crown Court.
