A former solicitor, Helen Conway is primarily a family law specialist.

She has experience of dealing with all aspects of family law, including private child law. She has a particular interest in ancillary relief cases and has developed a particular expertise in representing clients who have been the victims of domestic violence. As a former Home Office Presenting Officer in political asylum cases she is also interested in cases which involve a cross over between family law and immigration or cross-cultural issues.

Helen is the sole author of four books: ‘Domestic Violence, Picking up the Pieces’ (Lion Publishing), ‘Domestice Violence and the Church’ (Paternoster Press), ‘Key Facts: Family Law’ (Hodder and Stoughton), is the co-author of ‘Finance on Family – Breakdown for Low Income Families’ (Jordans) and edits the Family section of Sweet and Maxwell Precedents.

She also lectures nationally on a wide variety of family law topics, is a former tutor of Child Law at Liverpool University and is a Deputy District Judge.

Helen is now trained in Collaborative Family Law.
