Kate Burnell is a specialist family law practitioner and her work includes all areas of family law including children cases, financial cases and injunction proceedings.
Kate has extensive experience of dealing with financial cases across a broad spectrum of financial circumstances. She has experience of dealing with cases where there are significant assets. She has also experience in cases involving consideration of pensions, businesses, accounts and cases where financial injunction applications are involved.
In addition to representing clients in court, Kate has experience of advising both prior to and during proceedings both in writing and in conference. She is regularly instructed to advise upon terms of settlement and offers.
Kate has lectured for a number of organisations on children issues. She was been actively involved in the training of junior members of the profession for a number of years as a part-time tutor on the bar vocational course and lecturing to pupils. She has a keen interest in the development of the law and regularly attends conferences both nationally and internationally. Kate is actively involved in a number of family law organisations and is a member of the committee of a number of such organisations.
