Michael Kennedy is a family law specialist dealing principally with public law Children Act work including the representation of local authorities, parents and guardians in cases involving, inter alia, issues of physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children.
He practises in all areas of private law Children Act work, divorce proceedings, adoption proceedings and all aspects of finance and property disputes (ancillary relief proceedings and disputes between unmarried couples). CAFCASS Legal also instructs him on behalf of children in cases under the High Court's inherent jurisdiction and private law Children Act work.
Michael Kennedy has an active interest in the development of family law, and regularly attends Conferences/Seminars organised by the FLBA and Family Law publishing companies.
