Care/Adoption/Children Act

Before joining Chambers I was a journalist/television producer with over 14 years experience in broadcast media.

I now specialise in family law and my practice encompasses all aspects of law concerned with family relationships and their breakdown. I have particular experience in the following areas:-

  • Public Law Children Act matters representing parents, extended family members, children and local authorities in cases to date involving issues of neglect, physical and emotional abuse of children;
  • Private law Children Act matters including residence and contact disputes;
  • Financial Relief on matrimonial (ancillary relief) / cohabitation breakdown (Trust of Land Act applications);
  • Financial Provision for Children under Schedule 1;
  • Personal Protection Injunctive relief applications including committal and enforcement proceedings.

I have an active interest in the development of family law and regularly participate at conferences and seminars on family topics.

I feel that my combined life and professional experiences to date have proven invaluable when dealing with the complexities and emotional tensions associated with family breakdown and conflict.
