Steven Swift is an established criminal practitioner dealing with all aspects of criminal cases at all levels.

He has experience covering a wide variety of cases including offences of murder/manslaughter, robbery, crimes of violence, rape and other serious sexual offences. He has considerable experience of cases relating to large-scale importation and conspiracies to supply drugs. He has also been involved in a number of complex fraud trials and as such is a key member of the Chambers’ serious fraud practice group.

Steven Swift has a particular interest in the developing field of human rights case law. As part of Chambers' continuing education programme he has presented Seminars dealing with the impact of the Human Rights Act on covert Police surveillance and most recently on the new Sentencing Provisions under the Criminal Justice Act 2003.
